Malu Moreira, a Brazilian designer-turned-painter, has been living and working in Costa Rica for over 10 years.
Her atelier, set-up between the jungle and the ocean, has provided the artist an open and undisguised method of observation, giving birth to portraits of women, as well as abstract paintings, that blend paint, collages and 3-D techniques. With unambiguous references to Klimt, Malu is inspired by the deep and mysterious look of the female-nature; rooting her works in investigative research of new techniques and materials, the resulting work is imbued with latent expressions, feelings, eroticism and poignancy.

Malu Moreira, una diseñadora brasileña convertida en pintora, vive y trabaja en Costa Rica desde hace más de 10 años.
Su taller, creado entre la jungla y el océano, ha proporcionado a la artista un método de observación abierto y sin disimular, dando lugar a retratos de mujeres, así como a pinturas abstractas, que combinan pintura, collages y técnicas tridimensionales. Con inequívocas referencias a Klimt, Malu se inspira en la mirada profunda y misteriosa de la naturaleza femenina; arraigando sus obras en la investigación de nuevas técnicas y materiales, el trabajo resultante está imbuido de expresiones latentes, sentimientos, erotismo y conmoción.
